The Professional Football Strategy Council (PFSC), the body composed of four elected
representatives each of the Associations (UEFA Executive Committee), the Leagues (EPFL),
the Clubs (ECA) and the Players (FIFPro Division Europe) met today in Nyon, Switzerland,
and unanimously agreed that European football’s participation in future Olympic Games
should be restricted to players who are under 21 years of age.

After a full discussion on the subject the PFSC unanimously agreed that the principle of
participation at the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament should be for under-21 players, and
not for players up to the age of 23, and that there should be no provision for any over-age
players (currently each team has the right to select three players over the age of 23).

In addition the PFSC received an update on Financial Fair Play and the Protection of Minors,
