CheltenhamAfter a cracking first day, with AP McCoy taking the Champion Hurdle on Binocular, Day 2 of the Cheltenham Festival begins with the National Hunt Chase Challenge Cup and this looks a tough race to crack. With Any Currency, Massasoit and Synchronised at the head of the market after putting up respectable efforts in classy company throughout the year, this looks a very competitive renewal. Who do you think has the potential to take the opener?

The Neptune Novices’ Hurdle is the second race and is full of improving horses. Rite Of Passage, the likely favourite for the race, is trained by Dermot Weld and has all the credentials to take a part in the finish, but with Quel Espirit and Finian’s Rainbow also in the line up he has his work cut out.

Next it’s the RSA Chase over 3 miles and Nicky Henderson looks to hold the strongest hand here with Long Run and Punchestowns who have looked very smart chasers this season.  Ruby Walsh won this race last year on Cooldine and takes the ride on Citizen Vic – after a winner in the last today, will this be his next winner? Remember: if your selection falls in the RSA Chase, we will refund your single losing stake up to £ 50!

Then it’s a cracking renewal of the Champion Chase in which Master Minded will be very popular after last year’s success for champion trainer Paul Nicholls, who also has Tingle Creek winner Twist Magic to fall back on. Can Kalahari King, Big Zeb or anything else stand in the way of the mighty Master?

Will there be a Twist in the Champion Chase?

The Coral Cup is the next race on the card and as the betting suggests it looks a tight-knit affair with a number of runners having already run with credit this year. It’s an open looking contest and to make it easier for you, betinternet.com will be paying out on the FIRST FIVE home.

The Coral Cup is followed by the Fred Winter Novices’ Handicap Hurdle which is no easier to assess than the previous Handicap with Notus De La Tour for David Pipe and Sanctuaire for Paul Nicholls both fancied runners.

The second day of the festival is brought to an end with The Wetherbys Champion Bumper, a NH Flat race over 2m.
