Joey Barton will be sure to attract attention after last weekend’s controversial incidents. He will certainly clash with equally lively Lee Cattermole who will captain a Sunderland side that will be packed full of new signings. Newcastle have added Man Utd Winger Gabriel Obertan to their squad and will hope to collect more points after last week’s goalless draw against Arsenal.
Sunderland have won only one of their last thirteen Premier League encounters with Newcastle. Can the Black Cats claim a well overdue victory in front of their home crowd or will the Magpies, who have only won one of their last nine Premier League away matches cause yet another upset?

After last year’s epic battle between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut the duo have been drawn against each other in a mouth-watering first round clash.
The pair, who had the longest ever competitive game of tennis last year on Wimbledon’s court 18, will both be hoping that this time the match is considerably shorter. Wimbledon officials have refused to rule out a return to the now infamous court for Isner and Mahut but the Frenchman will hope to avoid this as he slipped into depression for 3 months following his loss last year.
Mahut said “It will be impossible for me not to think of (last years) match”, referring to his depression and desire for this year’s game to be played on a different court. Isner said “It’s weird and it’s cruel”.
Isner, who won the epic battle 6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 7-6, 70-68, is hopeful of getting through to the next round again as he holds a clear psychological advantage. He will attempt to use his big serve to overcome Mahut, the American served a whopping 113 aces in last year’s duel.
Here is the moment Isner finally secured victory in that famous final set:
In other Wimbledon news, British favourite Andy Murray secured victory in the first round in 4 sets. Follow the all the latest on our twitter @BetinternetLive
