Red Bull Racing pilot Sebastian Vettel comments a lap on the new International Circuit in South Korea, done as computer generated video that we thought was really worth sharing.
The Korean International Circuit itself is a 5.62 km (3.49 mile) circuit located in Yeongam, South Jeolla, South Korea, 400 kilometres south of Seoul and near the port city of Mokpo. It will be the venue for the F1 Korean Grand Prix at a $264 million (250 billion won) deal between Bernie Ecclestone and the Korean F1 promoter Korea Auto Valley Operation (KAVO – a joint venture between M-Bridge Holdings and Jeollanam-do regional government).
Around two weeks ago, goalkeeper Khalid Askri of Moroccan club FAR Rabat had an unwanted YouTube hit when he was a bit too quick to celebrate a penalty kick he thought he saved – but the ball ended up spinning into the goal when his back was turned.
To Askri’s embarrassment, that video went absolutely viral and very soon the whole world knew of his mishap. Internet fame being generally short-lived, he may have already escaped into obscurity again – if he hadn’t messed up again recently.
In a match against KAC Kenitra on Saturday, Askri tried to dribble away from KAC’s charging striker Hicham El Aroui. This didn’t work out so well for Askri as El Aroui quickly slid in and scored to put his side 1-0 up.
So how did Askri respond to his latest mishap? He ran. He pulled off his shirt and gloves, and ran away, effectively substituting himself out of the match right then and there.
Baseball outfielders have to be good runners – a fact that came in handy for Matt Diaz from the Atlanta Braves when a fan had run onto the field at Citizens Bank Park during Monday night’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The fan, wearing a red spandex suit, ran onto the field in the bottom of the seventh inning. He was chased by security guards for several seconds. After a guard slipped for the second time, Diaz coolly banged his knee into the back of the fan’s knee, knocking him down. The guards then apprehended the fan:
